We’re expecting temperatures to soar to 100°F this Wednesday, with high 90s sticking around for several days after. Even though we’ve had plenty of rain lately, by Wednesday it’ll have been a full week since the last drop.
When heat spikes like this, we’ve seen lawns show signs of drought stress very quickly. The shock of going from cool weather to very hot temperatures can be tough on your grass – your lawn doesn’t like these dramatic temperature swings any more than we do!
If you put those sprinklers on pause during our rainy spell, now’s the time to switch them back on. Your lawn will appreciate the extra care during this hot streak!
