At the end of last week the North Texas Municipal Water District announced that after almost five years under drought restrictions, the district will transition to 2014 Water Conservation Plan which allows twice per week watering, if needed. You can read their full release here.
This is excellent news for all of us in North Texas. I believe many of the cities in the area will likely follow the NTMWD recommendations which will make our lawns and landscape much happier this summer!
I’m not sure how long it will take for the cities to decide to make the changes, and then announce the news. I’ll keep watching the cities websites for the change, and invite you to do the same. You can find links to this info on the Village Green Resource Center on our website.
While you are on the Village Green Resource Center page, be sure and download our FREE Watering Guide to insure you are watering appropriately for spring.
