My daughter, Shelby, is helping me attach roof lights at Dallas Baptist University. Since it’s a commercial Christmas light installation, there aren’t any shingles to clip onto so she’s putting an adhesive onto the edge of the roof. I’m following her with parapet clips – small plastic wafers that stay permanently on the roof. We’ll let them dry and then the next day we’ll be out to slip our shingle tabs onto the clips. At the end of the season we’ll leave the clips in place and simply slide the tab out from underneath it and box the lights up.
