David and Jennifer’s front landscape was dated and needed some refreshing because of a handful of overgrown hedges and gaps caused by dead or missing plants during foundation repair work.
Hannah, our Landscape Manager, created an easy-to-maintain landscape using green carissa hollies, pink blooming rosecreek abelias, and red obsession nandinas that make a nice backdrop mix of medium-sized, evergreen plants. In the foreground, Hannah’s design employed dwarf Mexican petunias for full sun color, giant liriope for an evergreen, upright texture, and leopard plants for shaded color and texture.
Hannah used a merlot redbud to replace a tree on the left side of the property, which will provide beautiful pink blooms in early spring in North Texas.
All these plants have proved hardy enough to handle our blistering summer (108 degrees thus far!) and our biting cold winters (8 degrees which seems tough to fathom at this time of year!)
