Tour Steve and Madelyn’s New Landscape

Steve initially called me because he and I served on a church committee together, but as often happens, he gave me Madelyn’s number because she’s the real gardener of their family. I could not agree more. Madelyn knew her plants and what she wanted for her landscape which made our job considerably easier.

Madelyn likes plants that attract bees and ensure their backyard plants are dog friendly. Most of the landscape was already in place, so our focus was on improving pockets of the landscape.

We installed kaleidoscope abelias, purple heuchera, and red yuccas to add blooming color and chose evergreen plants of flirt and obsession nandinas along with giant liriope.

The front landscape gets a lot of Sun, which doesn’t work well for a Japanese maple, so instead, we used a forest pansy redbud with purple leaves most of the year and lovely pink blooms in early spring.

Madelyn warned me at the start of the project that she is picky, so her praise for Hannah, Manny, and Darrius and her enjoyment of our overall process was excellent. She told me the result was what she wanted, which we always love to hear!

If you are thinking about a project in 2023, we would love the chance to earn your business with a complimentary landscape consultation.
